A neurectomy was performed during removal of hardware of both medial and lateral ankle 20680, in addition, on approach to the fibural plate the patient had adherent scar tissue around the sural nerve. The nerve was shredded and not repairable. the nerve was cut and allowed to fall into deep tissue.
would you agree 27326 would be the appropriate code in this case for the neurectomy?
