Hello everyone:

Patient had a resection of the proximal aspect of the right prosthetic femoral stem and greater trochanter. The patient has had recurrent dislocation of the hip prothesis. I was thinking CPT code 27161, what are some of your opinions please? Thanks and have a great day! Also Happy Easter Everyone!:D[/FONT]

I was also looking at CPT 27122. Please let me know what are your thoughts.
Also maybe I should use the unlisted procedure code for the hip?? I have looked everywhere for resection of femoral stem/greater trochanter of a hip prosthetic??
