Our doctor is doing MUSE therapy through a urethra suppository. I've found the J0275 code, but I cannot find a code for the administration?? Does anyone know how this is billed?? Is there a code for the administration or is considered part of the office visit?? I could really use some help!! THank you!
 
Muse is supposed to be self administered so, to my knowledge, there is no CPT code for it's insertion. If the physician is performing the insertion to demonstrate this to the pateint, then consider documenting and billing an office visit. If it is performed by a nurse/MA then you may have to default to a 99211.
