My supervisor asked me to check on what protocol is used when ordering a molecular blood test for a pregnant women. We are seeing many denials. Apparently auths are needed but aren't being requested. Thank you.

This involves 83898 83896 83907 83912.

If you are now aware that auths are going to be needed, then make sure whomever is ordering the test has asked for and gotten the auth before you perform the test. Sounds like an internal process that needs to be addressed.
