Two questions. What is the code for the above (thru transcatheters) and are insurance carriers paying for it?
 
Are you talking about the transcatheter aortic valve replacement or TAVR. The codes for 2013 are 33361-33365 and add on codes 33367-33369. If this is what you are looking for they were category III codes last year. I am still struggling with last year, and new codes are always a problem at the beginning of the year.

TAVR. Yes new codes are difficult in the beginning. Thanks.
 
Yes insurance has been paying us for 2013 are 33361-33365. We have also been paid for category III codes last year. Mainly thru Noridian medicare a few had different carriers but those also paid. The one I can think of that did not for last year was Tri-care.
