This question was posed back in 2007, but no response was given. Can CPT's 87070 and 87077 be billed together? I have an insurance denying. I believe they can and found some information that states they can, however I need rationale from a reputable source that I can quote. Please help..:confused:
 
My software does not give me an NCCI exclusion edit, but the ICD-9 I used was 008.47. What are you using as an ICD-9? Does it prove medical necessity?
 
the dx 686.9 for local skin infection was used. The insurance is NCCI, but I couldn't find anything. Thanks for your help.:)
