Hi there,

I'm hoping someone can help me figure out the correct codes for billing MCR for clinical trials of a study drug. Patient is receiving Halaven in a push plus Kytril in a push. The Halavan is the study drug. We have tried different billings, but have all been denied.

We did figure out that we needed a V70.7 as a secondary, but we are still confused about how MCR wants the Q0/Q1 modifiers.

Would it be
96409-Q0- Investigational
J9179-Q0 - Investigational
96375-Q1- Routine
J1626-Q1 - Routine

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

Study modifier

Only attach the Q1 modifier to the drug supplied by the study, and to its administration. I would not add the Vcode to all charges either...it muddies the waters....only use it when needed.
