If the surgeon is performing a lung lobectomy and has to fracture a rib is there a particular diagnosis to associate with the fractured rib or do I just use the diagnosis of the neoplasm of the lung? Thank you

You don't code the fracture, because the surgeon had to break it for reached surgical site.
