Good morning all! I am seeing conflicting information in regards to modifiers -RT and -LT and I am hoping someone can clear this up for me and maybe point me in the correct direction. Can these two modifiers override an NCCI edit? For instance if our surgeon does 29826, 29825, 29820 and 29822, by appending modifier -RT or -LT to the codes 29820 and 29822 will that override the NCCI edit that these codes have with 29825? Any information or clarification would be so helpful and if anyone has any links confirming one way or the other I would be very appreciative.
