Can someone confirm if 60650 (lap adrenalectomy partial) is included with 50546 (nephrectomy w/partial ureterectomy)? There is no bundle and I have been unable to locate anything on CPT Assist that would say either way. I would think they are, but since this was not a radical nephrectomy (no Gerota's Fascia was removed) I am unsure. We have received a denial from Medicaid for this reason. Can one of you experts offer any clarity and resource on this?
 
The partial or total adrenalectomy has always been included with any type of nephrectomy and not separately billable.
This was pointed out many years ago by PRS and the Painters.
