Dr performed T4-T11 laminectomy with evacuation of tumor at each level... Is there an add on code for 63266. I do see add on code 63295 but it doesn't seem appropriate. I'm thinking that the Dr can bill for each level. Thanks for your help?

It is my understanding that you can only report the code once regardless of the levels involved. I found the following link on Supercoder but I believe I have seen this information somewhere else too I just can't think of where (I keep thinking it was from Karen Zupko, but I'm not sure).

yes you are right...per supercoder the 632 series of codes have the number of levels built in the code for cervical, thoracic, spinal etc. However I still think the revenue is quite low. The physician was in the operating room over several hours removing tumors.

I'd add modifier 22 and submit notes. Some surgeries are shorter than average and some are longer than average, it evens out in the end.
