Hello, I am reviewing a laceration repair. Please let me get your thoughts on the below procedure. 13152,13153,12011-51?


Lacerations: complex lacerations of left lower lip (7 cm) and left upper lip (6 cm), both involving vermilion border; simple laceration of nasal bridge laceration (1cm)

Were the lacerations of the lip through the full thickness of the lips? If so, look to code 40652 or 40654. There is a November 2016 CPT Assistant article that provides some information on coding for lacerations of the lip.
