The provider has it coded with D81.9. I don't believe that's correct. I'm having trouble finding a code though. Can anyone help me? I'm leaning toward Q03.1 or Q04.8

I definitely wouldn't use D81.9. This condition has come up in my genetics coding maybe twice in the last year.

Changing my answer! I was curious why this dx wasn't on my ongoing list, since I remember doing a fair amount of research trying to figure it out. I looked back at one pt that I know has a confirmed dx of Joubert Syndrome, and I billed Q04.3 the couple of times my docs saw that pt this year. Hope that helps.
