My pt came for the removal of IUD and had a Biopsy of cervix done at the same time. Could you please tell me if I can bill for Removal of IUD and Biopsy of Cervix together (with 57500 -59)?
Per NCCI, "Code 58301(column 1) has a CCI conflict with code 57500(column 2). A modifier is allowed to override this relationship." I am trying to understand when I can break the bundling. If a modifier is allowed, why cannot I use -59?
