I posted a few weeks ago about a consult and CPT code for non face to face and was directed to 99451 Interprofessional Telephone/Internet/EHR. The doctor did a consult and reviewed the med rec from the RN and written report back to requesting doctor (no face to face). 99451 states in CPT book.,"If more than one Interprofessional Telephone/Internet/EHR contact(s) is required to complete the consultation request (e.g. discussion of lab tests), the entirety of the service and the cumulative discussion and information review time should be reported with a single code. Code 99451 should not be reported more than once within a seven day interval. My doctor was seven subsequent days with the inpatient same as consult: reviewing RN records and stating medical decision making. I am again stumped what CPT could capture his subdays. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks
