Looking for ICD 10 code for ingestion of fabric glue without toxic effects.
 
You're probably right. In the past medicare allowed the D64.9 Dx code along with the CKD stage.
I'm wondering if Medicare now requires a more specific code such as D63.1.

Ok then assuming this was just a precautionary visit on the part of he patient care giver and the provider found no issues I would use the Z04.89 for encounter for observation for other reasons and the code for the toxicity for the glue accidental. Even though there was no toxicity found the Z04 code indicates there was nothing found but the T code for the glue will indicate the ingestion was accidental
