Please advise. I have attached a copy of an operation report. My physician did a I&D of left total shoulder arthoplasty with exchange of the polyethylene and glenosphere for an infected TSA that is less then 6 weeks post op.
I am having trouble coming up with the right CPT code. The hospital has called me and they want to bill this as a total shoulder revision 23474. Speaking with the Phyisican he didn't take all the componets out but parts of each componets and replace them. Please help me. I could see maybe a revision code with a 52 modifer?
