Hi all. Scenario...new patient comes in for establishing care and pain in left buttock. Social history states recreational drug use of crystal meth. Patient also has history of cardiac issues including a stent. My provider documents that discussion was done on referring patient for help but patient declined, also documented discussed risk associated with drug abuse and effect on organs including heart. A screening wasn't done, patient stated it in social history, along with heavy alcohol use. Just trying to figure out how to best way to report this portion of the visit. Provider did give a dx code of F15.10: Other stimulant abuse, uncomplicated. Is there a HCPCS code for drug abuse counseling of this nature? This is a Primary Care Provider
