Our group is disputing if Z83.71 supersedes Z12.11. Example 50 year old male, first coli with both dx Z83.71 & Z12.11 (commercial insurance). Which should be the primary icd10? Please help!
 
They aren't having a screening because of family hx colon polyps. They are having a screening because they are 50. z12.11 is primary modifier 33 . (who doesn't have a family member with Hx of colon polyps?)
