I need a little help....

I am trying to submit a ICD 9 code for HIV screening for a Medicare patient. The code that I have tried is V73.89 (Other specified viral diseases). Apparently EPIC (practice management program) does not agree with this code and will not let me submit the order for this test. EPIC said this is a non-covered code for HIV screening.

Does any one have any suggestions for a ICD 9 code for HIV screening?

The code is correct. If you use the ICD10 coversion tool on this site under ICD10, the ICD10 code which is Z11.4 converts to V73.89 for ICD.
