Good Morning! I have a diagnosis of acute encephalopathy with hepatic encephalopathy. I feel it is K72.00 only. Nurse has K72.00 acute and subacute w/o coma & G93.40 encephalopathy, unspecified. Since K72.00 " includes encephalopathy, unspecified shouldn't it be the one code? Thanks for any insight you can give me.
