Hi,
How would you code a patient that have hypertension but was seen for low blood pressure?
The patient did not take her medication.
Would I code ICD-10 code for Underdosing T46.5X6A and the Hypertension code I10?

Thank you,
A

I would code for underdosing, noncompliance, hypertension, and low blood pressure.

I10
T46.5x6A
Z91.14 (may or may not be necessary depending on documentation)
Code hypotension or low blood pressure reading without diagnosis of hypotension depending on documentation

Hypertension is a chronic condition, so you can have hypertension and be hypotensive.
