I need help! I'm an instructor and my students are using Professional whereas I use the Expert which the Index seems more detailed. The question just gave the term "vena cava filter". The question just gave the term "vena cava filter". In Professional, looking under Filter, there is nothing referencing Vena Cava. I checked under Vena, Cava, Implant, Inferior...no dice! In Expert, under Filter, vena cava is clearly listed. How would you instruct a student to locate this code C1880 in the Professional alphabetical index?

I'm not familiar with these editions of HCPCS, but given that the C codes are for facility use only, I would suspect that this section might be absent from a professional edition? There would be no occasion to assign code C1880 if you are coding for professional providers.
