Hello everyone,
I am confused on coding Ostomy. Usually my providers don’t document the type and if I am unable to query them, what default code gets used? My example here is documentation says high out put Ostomy. The code I found is Z93.9, presence of artificial opening. Can this be used or will the provider need queried every time?
