For anyone who may have attended the 2017 Society of Thoracic Surgeon's Coding Workshop, what is the recommended correct coding when a "hemi-arch" replacement is combined with the Ascending Aortic Aneurysm Repair by beveling the graft to the underside of the transverse arch?
 
I did not attend the 2017workshop but from prev. years this is the notes I have

"Documentation in operative note must described that transverse arch resection requiring either antegrade cerebral perfusion or retrograde cerebral perfusion and/or circulatory arrest was performed to accomplish the 'hemiarch' " "The statement that a 'Hemiarch' was performed is not sufficient"

if the documentation is met than 33860 + 33870 -51-59
 
Thank you for replying. Often times there would be updates to previous meetings. Unfortunately, I've not been able to attend for several years.
