I have a biller that is looking for a chart that shows the Global Days for various used CPT Codes. It use to be accessed from the Medicare Website and now she cannot find it. Does anyone know where to locate this? I am not personally familiar with it, so any help would be great.
Thanks

If you happen to have a CPT Expert edition handy, that has the global periods listed for every code.

If not, the rule of thumb is that minor procedures have a 10 day global, and major procedures have a 90 day period.

Here's some instructions from eHow: http://www.ehow.com/how_7642651_global-periods-cpt-codes.html

But this may be more helpful: http://provider.medica.com/C14/ClaimPolicies/Document Library/Global_Days_Policy.pdf

CMS Website for Global Days

Sorry, I see you posted this awhile back but I just ran across it on the forum and have the link to the CMS website where you can find this information.

Go to http://www.chirocode.com/medical-codes/icd-9-cm/icd-9-cm-diagnosis-921-codes.html
Select Start Search
On the next screen, select Payment policy Indicators
You can then select single, list, or range of CPT codes.
Select all modifiers from the dropdown menu
Start your search.
This will return results with a column labeled Global to reflect the global days for each service.

Hope that helps!
