Our office has mixed reviews on how to code bilateral hip xrays. Imaging was done of 2 views of EACH hip (4 images total). Some coworkers believe this would qualify for 73521 (bilateral hip, 2 views) while others believe it is 73522 (bilateral hip 3-4 views). Does anyone have any link to know what truly should be billed?

I believe this would be the 73521 Bilateral, 2 views. I read that as each hip had 2 views done. The 73522 is reading to me as each hip had 3-4 views.
