Can anyone adivise on how to bill the following DME supplies? Thank you in advance for your help!
Our diabetic test strips and lancets are mailed to patients. So, we billed using HCPS code A4253 KL and A4259 KL.
Our claim was rejected for 2 reasons:
1) due to modifer- Is NU modifier the only modifier that can be billed with A4253 & A4259? How do we billed a "mail delivery" modifier?"
2) ASP indicator is N- "No additional payment, payment included in line items with APCs for incidental service"
