Hi All,

Just looking for some guidance on this case.

  • Right hand closed reduction and perc pinning second carpometacarpal joint dislocation
  • Right hand closed reduction and perc pinning third carpometacarpal joint dislocation
  • Right hand closed treatment third metacarpal base fracture
  • Right hand closed treatment fourth metacarpal base fracture
  • Right hand closed treatment trapezoid carpal bone fracture
  • Right hand closed treatment capitate carpal bone fracture
  • Right hand closed treatment hamate carpal bone fracture
  • Right hand closed treatment second metacarpophalangeal MCP joint dislocation without manipulation.
I gave the provider 26676-F6 and 26676-51-F7. I presume he is screaming because I did not give him 26600-51 x 2 for the third and fourth metacarpal base fractures. The carpal bones were treated closed with a cast I presume which is inclusive with the pinning of the CMC joints.

Any direction fellow AAPC members could provide is much appreciated.
