If the surgeon did a testicle biopsy, frozen section intraoperative, and it came back as cancer so doctor did a radical orchiectomy, can I bill 54505 with 54530? I thought I read somewhere that I could, but I'm not sure.

How you code this clinical scenario will depend on how you did the biopsy. For an incisional biopsy of the testicle, code 54530 and 54505-XU. For a needle biopsy of the testicle, code 54530 and 54500 without a modifier. I hope this helps you.
