Should I code CPT 23470 or CPT 23616

Briefly,

Humeral Head was placed in.

Operative note also states "Repair of lesser tuberosity and greater tuberosity to the prosthesis itself, done with Ethibond through eyelets in the back, and then tuberosities sutured to themselves with another Ethibond, giving a watertight solid closure. Rotator interval was closed also with Ethibond. Or is this all included in the CPT 23470.

Just when I thought I knew, am now doubting myself ???:confused:

If the prosthesis was placed for the fracture then you are to use 23616. The repair as noted by the code description includes repair of either or both tuberosity.
