Physician did a percutaneousl release on the Left 4th and 5th toes. Also did capsulotomies on both. When looking at codes 28010 and 28011 for the release I am confused. I am thinking one tendon released in each toe 28010-T3 and 28010-T4. Doc is thinking 28011-59as he did multiple tendons. He says there is only one tendon per toe for release so he is thinking the multiple is for multiple toes. I want to bill this claim out like this:
28270-T3
28270-T4
28010-T3,59
28010-T4,59

Opinions please.

From EncodePro:
28010 This procedure is performed to correct mallet or hammer toe. The physician makes a small incision at the crease of the toe where the tendon is restricted. The tendon is released from the bone and the toe is straightened. The incision is sutured and dressing applied. Report 28011 if more than one toe is being straightened.
