Wiki Follow-up visits during a global period

I'm looking for advise. I have an Electro-physiology inserts a pacemaker, which has global period of 90 days. A Cardiologist visits the patient during the global period as follow-up with no separate E/M reason except the follow-up to pacemaker insert. Can we bill the visit since they have separate speciality? (both physicians are within my group.)

I would say no..not if the pt is in global and the cardiologist only f/u on the pacemaker...

No you cannot bill a seperate visit, the only way you could is if the Doctor saw them for a completely new problem
