Patient was seen in the office. He has a history of colon polyps, patient does not want to continue with colon cancer surveillance. He is not complaining of rectal bleed, abdominal pain or unexplained weight loss. Patient would like to have stool tested for occult blood. Doctor does a rectal and performs the FIT test in the office. It comes back negative. Doctor is trying to bill as follows 99214 and 82274. I feel like the 82274 is not the correct code to use. Please help!!!
