Patient has open periprosthetic femur fracture has had both the hip and knee replaced. Physician attempts a repair with a pin but there is such poor bone quality he was unable to reduce the fracture. He aborts that procedure and has to shorten a lateral spike of femur bone by roughly two inches. He then uses plate, screws and cable to repair the fracture. I selected CPT 27507-22 but wasn't sure if I could bill for any additional services? Thanks
