The patient came into the fluro suite with an esophageal stricture. Following oral anesthesia with cetaciane spray, a 4 French glide catheter and guidewire were negotiated though the stricture. The catheter was exchanged over the guidewire for a 14 x 4 Atlas balloon followed by insufflation under fluoroscopic guidance. Would this be coded with 43450 or 43453? Any advice would be helpful! Thank you!
