Hello -

Anyone familiar or knows how to calculate HCPCS Q4186. Code description is per square centimeter.


Here is an example:

Size of epifix graft applied: 　4 x 4.5 cm = 18cm​
Number of grafts applied:　5



Is it 4x4.5cm = 18cm, so would qty be 18?
or
18cm x 5 = 90

Help anyone!
 
Q4186 is billed by the unit and each square cm is a unit. So if you use 5 pieces of 18 sq cm size that would be 90 units. Double check with your rep that the 4x4.5 size is 18 and not 16 units. Also, don't forget to bill your application code.
