I'm looking at 26480 . Indications show a complete rupture of the EPL tendon at Lister's tubercle. Patient notes inability to actively extend her thumb. Here is a brief description of procedure: Attention turned to the dorsal radial aspect of the wrist where a curvilinear incision was made overlying the Lister's tubercle. Subcutaneous tissues were carefully divided and the ruptured distal stump of the EPL was identified and noted to be frayed and of poor quality. Proximally, the tendon wouldn't be easily harvested and due to the poor quality of the EPL, surgical intervention was recommended. The EPL tendon was noted at its distal rupture site and noted to be of poor quality, therefore the decision was made to proceed with an index finger extnesor tendon transfer to the EPL. A transverse incision was then made just proximal index finger MCP jt. The ulnar sided EIP was identified and harvested through the poximal incision. A pulvertaft weave to the EPL tendon was performed. The EIP was taken back onto itself and used to re-secure the anastomosis.
Is this the correct CPT? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you,
