Would this be coded with 50390 or 50392? 76942 or 75989? I'm hesitant to use 50390 because it was drained with a catheter. And I was told not to use 75989 unless they left the catheter in place.

INDICATION: RT RENAL CYST

RESULTS: The risks were explained and informed consent was obtained. Monitored conscious sedation was used for 15 minutes. An 8-French drain was placed using ultrasound guidance at the right renal cyst using a trocar method. 550 milliliters of clear fluid were removed and discarded. The cyst was drained dry. The patient was instructed to keep a pain log. Follow-up care will be with Dr. Xxxxx for clinical evaluation.
 
I would use 50021 and 75989 for this, I've not run across a rule on 75989 that states a catheter has to be left in place at the end of the case. Good luck.
