Can anyone give direction on CPT code assignment for release of the collateral ligaments of the DIP joint for flexion contracture. I'm leaning towards an unlisted code. Thank you in advance.

Documentation is below:
I then turned my attention to the DIP joint which is still fixed in flexion. Using a 15 blade I released the collateral ligaments and again was able to extend the DIP joint fully.
 
Without seeing the entire note, I would suggest you look at 26525 - this is inclusive of incision of tendon sheath, arthrotomy and manipulation (to name a few) according to the AAOS Complete Global Service Data for Orthopaedic Surgery.
