I need help with a comparison code for an unlisted lap oviduct/ovary procedure(58679) for detorsion of right ovary. Any suggestions?
 
I usually state to value it as 58825 ovarian transposition. I have also seen people advise to value it as 58662 laparoscopic cystectomy.
I personally like 58825 because I feel it more closely describes some of the work, even though it's not laparoscopic.
Both 58825 and 58662 have about the same RVUs - 20.44 vs 20.63
