Does anyone know if a dermatologist the uses dx like a Squamous cell carcinoma or basal cell carcinoma, but the patient test negative by pathologist, what Dx should we used?
 
one more question if scenario: patient had biopsy and pathology ie 3 weeks ago dx SCC follow up excision today pathology negative would ICD10 be SCC or negative/ history dx?

I will use the L98.9 or R23.8 dx on these..or whatever the pathologist DX on report is. You would report the DX of the pathology report
