Hello,
I am new to derm billing. I am getting this error. Can someone explains what this means?

he surgical procedure code 11102 should be reviewed for a possible percentage reduction of 50% since its relative weight is lower than the procedure code 17110 found on historical claim ID 31627787 on claim line 90064729. If a multiple procedure codes contains units, the units should cause a reduction. However, if only one MPR eligible procedure code is billed with units, the first unit is allowed at 100% and each add'l unit should cause a reduction.

11102 was billed on the same day as 17110. It does bundle, but assuming they were for separate lesions, 11102 can be billed with a 59 modifier. It sounds like it is just advising that 11102 has a lower RVU than 17110 so it will be payable at 50% and 17110 will be payable at 100% of the allowed amount.

I did add a 59 and that did not work either. But thank you.
