Hi,
I am billing for a provider who gave a patient her depo shot but patient brought her own medication from a pharmacy how would I bill that? Should I bill just for the admin 96372 with the ICD-10 Z30.42.

If the office visit was a separate and distinct service, and is documented as thus, you may bill an E/M visit using a 25 modifier along with the 96372.

Why not J1050 Injection, medroxyprogesterone acetate, 1 mg and get paid for it! Not an unclassified code? Isn't J1050 DepoProvera?

We use the actual J code but with a modifier PSM (patient supplied medication) that zeros out the charge
