How would you code a debridement on a wound size 16x40x8 on the back into muscle and fascia Thanks!:confused:

Well..... going by just the numbers and the code range you have supplied, I would code as 11043 and 11046 x31 however, in order to properly code I would first need to know what instrument was used for the debridement, what is the Dx (ie. necrosis), and what insurance is being billed as some will not allow for these codes unless necrosis or gangrene are the listed diagnosis.
