Has anyone ever coded for a repair of lacerated ulnar nerve which occured during surgery for carpal tunnel release? If so, which CPT code did you use?

Wiki CTR release complication...

Someone told us that we cannot bill for this since it occured during the CTR. Do you know of anywhere that I can confirm this? Obviously it was an unplanned occurance, but he did repair it.

Ok...So I asked my fellow coders and after a lengthy conversation we have decided that you should not charge for the repair that the surgeon caused. It would be inclusive to the CTR. Sorry for my first answer, the coder in me wants to charge for everything
