Can someone please tell me can a provider bill 99296 along with 33961. now the cpt states 33961 is to be used in conjunction with 33960 but this provider says they only have to bill 33960 once to establish it then they dont have to bill it anymore. We are in a Rush Emergency situation here so can someone please respond quickly!!! Thank you so very much.
 
Provider is right

Your provider is correct.
You can bill 99296 -Subsequent inpatient neonatal critical care -and-
33961 - Prolonged ECMO, each additional 24 hours.
