Does anyone know the correct code to use for hip resurfacing? Authorizations are being requested for CPT 27130 & not sure if this is correct.
Thank you.
 
Some insurances require S2118 and some use 27130.. You have to check with each payor, and need to check every 6-12 months. For the 27130 I add -22 for the extra complexity and time/work involved. Most don't pay on the -22 however.
