Below is an excerpt from the procedure for a non union of a medial malleolus fracture. "An incision was made anteriorly to the medial malleolus. There was a large bony fragment that has been out of place and displaced posteriorly. This was removed by sharp dissection. The inferior portion of the medial malleolus was then noted to be unstable. This was also excised using a 15 blade scalpel. An anchor was then used to repair the deltoid ligament without complication." How would you code this? 27635 and 27695? Both? Neither? One or the other? Need to send this claim OTD ASAP! Please help! :confused:
