Hi.
anyone billing United health Care or UHC medicare product for cpt code 52005 that is denying with modifier 50 ?

how are you billing it please

52005

52005 does not qualify as a Bilateral code in the CPT manual or Medicare MPFS. I just had to code this today for one of my surgeons and he had tried to use the 50 modifier. 52007 does qualify if brush biopsies were performed on the ureter and/or renal pelvis.
